President Asif Ali Zardari and Chief of the Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani discussed key national and strategic issues during their meeting on Tuesday.The COAS went to the President’s House where he discussed the regional situation and state of law and order in the country.Key strategic issues, situation in Federally Administrative Tribal Areas and Afghanistan were also discussed in the meeting.Earlier, the Karachi corps commander and the Sindh Rangers DG briefed the COAS on Karachi situation.According to sources, Corps Commander Karachi Lieutenant General Zaheer-ul-Islam and DG Rangers Sindh Major General Ijaz Chaudhry meet Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani at the GHQ in the early hours of Tuesday and apprised him about the law and order situation in Karachi.
