The faithful on Friday observed Jumma-tul-Wida (the last Friday of Ramadan) with religious fervor and zeal across the country. The largest congregations of Jumma-tul-Wida were seen at Faisal Mosque in Islamabad and Qadeemi Jamia Majid in Rawalpindi.Law enforcement agencies made strict security measures to maintain law and order in the twin cities for the occasion when Muslims thronged to mosques and imambargahs to mark the day. Police high official clad in plain clothes counterchecked the security arrangements.In Lahore, The largest gathering of the day was held at Badshahi Mosques where the faithful had congregated in large numbers since morning. Peshawar also witnessed large congregation at the Jamia Masjid Sadar where hundreds of thousands offered Friday prayers.The faithful offered special prayers for the solidarity and integrity of Pakistan; liberation of Kashmir, Palestine and Chechnya; restoration of peace and security in Afghanistan and Iraq, and for the unity and brotherhood amongst Muslims.
