Summary Water level at Gandasingh is constantly rising as India has spilled more water into the Sutlej.
According to the data collected by the Flood Forecast Division, the current water flow at Gandasingh is 60,000 cusecs and a low level flood exists in the Sutlej but it is expected that the water flow will rise further to 80,000 cusecs at night.Owing to the flood in Sutlej, it is feared that the lower areas of Kasur, Okara, Pakpattan, Vehari and Bahawalnagar will be inundated.Previous week, dozens of villages were flooded and crops on hundreds of hectares of land were destroyed by the Indian water spilled into the Sutlej.
