NICL case: DG FIA tenders resignation

During the hearing of NICL case DG FIA said since he was the head of the department, he could not work under Zafar Qureshi.Chief Justice asked him not to threaten the court. The court also advised him to continue the investigation or tender resignation to the competent authority. During the hearing all the members of Zafar Qureshi team were present in the court. All the files of the NICl case were presented in the court.Tehsin Anwar said that a case had been registered against the one who created a bomb hoax. Assistant Director security Khwaja Hammad informed the court the Director Waqar Haider asked him to stop him entering from the office.The Supreme Court directed Hammad to give the same statement to police. Director Waqar Haider said he gave no direction to Hammad regarding bomb. Moonis Elahi was representated by Babar Awan in the court. He said Zafar Qureshi threatened Moonis Elahi to kill and he should not investigate the case. The court said decision on this plea would be taken later. The hearing of the case was indefinitely adjourned.Later, the DG despatched his resignation to the Secretary Establishment.
