Summary DFP launched a website, aimed at creating awareness among public about the history of Pakistan.
Minister for Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan inaugurated the website launched by Directorate of Films and Publications (DFP).The website www.dfp.gov.pk preserves the data of almost 64 years of Pakistan’s history in the form of publications, photographs, documentaries and films, she added.Talking to the media, after the ceremony, Firdous said that the initiative would help promote the services of Pakistan’s national heroes.The Information Minister said that everyone could have an easy access to the data from website which was not available in the market and added that it was a unique gift for the nation on the eve of Independence Day.She said that the website would also highlight a soft image of Pakistan at the international level and overseas Pakistanis living in different parts of the world would also benefit to know about the history. The national asset has been digitalized and now available at this website, she added.
