Summary Rail crisis deepens and various trains were delayed by two to 11 hours.

Several other trains departure was cancelled due to unavailability of engines.On the Lahore junction, trains were delayed for several hours. Fareed Express to Sargodha left two hours late while Quetta, Jaffar, Tezgam and Allama Iqbal Express left with several hours delay.All trains travelling to Peshawar were delayed by hours while Quetta Express which travels from Peshawar to Quetta was cancelled and it is set to stay in Rawalpindi.Allama Iqbal Express, Fareed Express, Millat Express, Awami Express, Karakoram Express, Khushhal Express, Khyber Mail and Awami Express were among the trains that were behind the schedule.Passengers suffered due to delay in departure and arrival of trains. Shutting down of the train services segregated dozens of railway stations.Pakistan Railways is facing a loss of Rs 3.8 million daily due to temporary closure of 45 passenger trains including Quetta Express.Important trains which have been closed include Faiz Express, Peshawar Passenger, Lahore-Faisalabad train, Lahore-Sargodha and Lahore-Narowal. The closure of these trains has created more problems for passengers who already have to face delays of 2-8 hours.
