Summary The electricity shortfall reduced to 3,758MW from 4,000WM.
According to PEPCO, power demand stood at 18,020MW, while the country is producing 14,262MW. About 700MW is being provided to KESC. Hydel power production has reached 5,546, Thermal 1,927MW, IPPs, 6,673 and 215WM from rental power plants.Due to pleasant weather, power shortfall has decreased and load shedding duration has also reduced. Now 6-8 hours unscheduled load shedding is being observed in urban areas and 8-10 hours in rural areas.
