Results of 9th class, Intermediate also delayed in Punjab

All eight educations boards in Punjab have cancelled the announced dates for declaring results of Ninth Class and Intermediate examinations. The Punjab government has called an emergency meeting of the heads of all eight education boards.According to the sources, the issue of delayed results is getting serious. Secretary Higher Education Haseeb Athar who is also in charge of controlling authority of the boards, has called an emergency meeting of all the boards’ heads including Lahore, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Multan, Gujranwala, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rawalpindi and Bahawalpur boards.The sources further said that class 9 results were scheduled to be announced on August 4 by all the boards but have also been delayed due to delay in Matriculation results while the new date has not been announced.Likewise, all the eight boards had given August 25 as the result announcement date for the Intermediate exams which was suddenly cancelled.The sources added that now the Punjab government will announce the date for results instead of the boards.
