Summary PACs sub-committee said 198 railway engines have been damaged due to use of low-quality oil.

Orders have been issued to bring the culprits to book after investigation.Dunya News already highlighted this issue in a report two months ago.A meeting of PAC sub-committee chaired by Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, was held at PR headquarters in Lahore.Sardar Ayaz Sadiq said that 250 kg eleven radiators of Pakistan Railways have been stolen from Rawalpindi. He said the railway officials involved in this should be punished.He said that information has been collected about people involved in Diesel theft and action would also be taken against them without any pressure.Sardar Ayaz Sadiq disclosed that a case would be forwarded regarding corruption in the purchase of 79 railway engines and 1300 wagons during former minister Javed Ashraf Qazi.Two months ago, Dunya News had highlighted the issue in a report in which process of putting 37000 litres lube oil in 200 engines and their damage was shown.After this report, standing Committee of NA and sub-committee of Public Accounts Committee had ordered investigation into the matter.
