Summary Auditor generals report disclosed a huge embezzlement in defence departments.
According to the audit report of 2010-11, the national exchequer bore Rs 20 billion loss due to negligence and emergency. Misuse of resources, frauds and theft caused a loss of Rs 5.10 billion, while an embezzlement of Rs 17.97 billion was also revealed.Laps in infrastructure of defence institutions, extra payments and mistakes in accounting also caused of Rs 8.55 billion, Rs 1.44 billion and Rs 2.33 billion losses.
