In Adiala Jail, Inspector Amir told the court that guard Mumtaz Qadri, who shot dead former Punjab governor, was appointed after security clearance. He said he saw Qadri shoot down Taseer.Later, talking to the media, the defendant’s counsel said that the brief talk between Taseer and Qadri before the shooting was also referred to in the court. The hearing was adjourned till July 30.
