Summary The Sindh Home Department has extended the Rangers powers for another 90 days in Karachi.

The Sindh government had given powers to the Rangers to maintain peace in the city and reviewed it after every three months. The Rangers powers had expired on July 19. After the approval of the chief minister, the Sindh Home Ministry issued a notification of the extension in powers.For the next three months, the Rangers will have the shoot-at-sight powers for militants and target killers, besides raiding and searching suspicious houses.
