Summary Police have been granted one-day remand of PML-N MNA Anjum Aqeel on being presented in court.
The MNA was presented in an Islamabad court amid tight security. Earlier, the parliamentarian, who is accused of defrauding a schoolteacher, had escaped from Shalimar Police Station. The police station was attacked by armed aides of Anjum.Sources had said Anjum later courted arrest at Kohsar Police Station under pressure from the PML-N leadership.Many of the MNA’s supporters were present outside when he was produced before the court.
