MQM demands unconditional apology from Mirza

Situation in different cities of Sindh became tense after Sindh Minister for Works Dr Zulfiqar Mirza’s statement against MQM chief Altaf Hussain. Former Sindh governor Ishrat ul Ibad has contacted President Asif Ali Zardari while Dr Farooq Sattar talked to Interior Minister Rehman Malik on the incidents of firing and violence which started after issuance of statement by Sindh minister. Both Muttahida leaders also demanded unconditional apology from Zulfiqar Mirza.The MQM has also announced to start a country-wide protest, including Karachi, against Zulfiqar Mirza’s outbursts. Meanwhile, the Karachi trade organizations have also favoured the MQM protest call.
