Summary The government has created new gas crisis after 5-month approval of gas supply to 4 power plants.
Despite the opposition of the petroleum ministry and government’s gas companies, the government has triggered a new crisis after granting 5-month approval to four powerful owners of the power plants.According to documents received by Dunya News, the gas crisis started when the powerful owners did not run their plants on Diesel after June 30.They instead signed a new agreement with the government according to which gas would be supplied to their plants till November.The four IPPs which were granted permission of gas supply include, Saif, Sapphire Orient and Halmor.
