Gilani, Gen Kayani highlight Pak achievements in terror war

Addressing a seminar on the issue of militancy in Swat, the PM said the country is facing bother internal and external threats. He said the Pakistan Army carried out successful operations in Swat, Malakand and South Waziristan. He said Pakistan and the United States have shared objective in the region. He appreciated the attendance of seminar by international experts, saying their analysis would be of tremendous help. Army chief General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani said the Army has purged Swat of militants and restored the government’s writ. He said 75 percent of internally displaced people have been settled back in their areas. PML-Q’s Mushahid Hussain and Ameer Muqam also attended the seminar.
