Summary New spell of monsoon rains will begin in the country from Thursday.
The Met Office has forecast heavy rains in northern and central areas of Punjab while upper Sindh and Balochistan would be in the grip of scorching heat.The winds from the Indian Ocean are at the height of 3000 feet which may cause raining in central and upper parts of the Punjab.According to the Met Office, rains may continue for two to three days in Punjab, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Kashmir.The Office spokesman said that first monsoon rains were also expected in lower Sindh on Thursday and Friday.The highest temperature 44 recorded in Dalbandin.
