Summary Supreme Court suspended the transfer notification of Additional DIG FIA Zafer Qureshi in NICL case.
Chief Justice Ifitikhar Muhammad Chaudhry said that government was showing its stubbornness to underestimate the judicial authority.The apex court also ordered the Additional DG FIA to take charge of his office and submit his report in the court after 15 days. The court also directed the DG FIA to cooperate with Zafer Qureshi.Dr Babar Awan briefed the court that PM while using his powers rejected the summary of Zafer Qureshi to bring him back in the FIA. At this CJP gave his remarks that why the government was not showing its sense of responsibility. We have been showing patience for the last five hearings, CJ said.CJ further said that an honest officer should not be removed from investigation of corruption case.Dr Babar said the government was authorized to transfer officers of different departments.
