According to PEPCO officials, total demand of electricity is 18,530MW, while the country is producing 14,030MW by utilising all resources. 5,147MW power is being produced by hydel resources, 2,000MW from thermal, 6,800MW from IPPs and 85MW from rental power plants.The dispute between the administration and workers of the Karachi Electric Supply Corporation could not be settled and the citizen have to suffer long hours of power outage.The power outage has crippled the industry and trade across the country.
