Mercury rises as heat wave continues: PMD

Summary PMD has predicted that the heat wave would continue for the next 24 hours across the country.

According to the Meteorological Department of Pakistan (PMD), temperatures across the country are expected to rise in the next 24 hours as the weather would remain hot and dry. The Met office also predicted that the heat wave would finish after 24 hours which would be followed by rains.Strong winds are expected are in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Bahawalpur, Hazara Division and Kashmir. The Met Office said that the highest temperatures on Friday were recorded in Noorpur Thal and Sibbi at 40 degrees Celsius.
