Summary The Chief Justice of Pakistan said that justice should not only exist but it should also be seen.
Addressing the National Judicial Policy Making Committee in Karachi, the Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, giving reference to Dunya News’ report, said that the judicial officers responsible in the kidnapping, rape and murder case of 11-year-old Sakina would not be forgiven for the six year delay. Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry said that due to the corruption by the judicial officers and staff, the people have lost faith in the justice system. Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry said that the judicial policy would create an effective system but not all goals will be achieved. He said an effective monitoring system would be created for the subordinate courts.
