Summary The Maharashtra chief minister has issued orders for release 5 detained Pakistanis.

The Indian government had five Pakistanis detailed in Maharashtra prison after their release by Somali pirates.Indian forces had secured the release of the five Pakistanis from the custody of Somali pirates but the Indian Interior Ministry gave them the status of prisoners and sent them to Maharashtra prison.Ansar Burney telephoned Maharashtra’s Interior Minister and requested for the release of all the prisoners.
