Summary Petrol shortage is various parts of the country continued to intensify as people suffer.
While giving a press briefing in Islamabad, advisor Federal Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Dr Asim Hussain said that the provisional licenses of four Oil Marketing Companies, which are Admore, HASCOL, OOTCL and Bosicor has been cancelled for not keeping the necessary oil reserve.He said that Pakistan State Oil Company would be importing 200,000 tons of oil in this month in an attempt to bring an end to the oil shortage. A plane carrying 50,000 litres of petrol would be arriving in Karachi on June 18 while the Attock Oil refinery would be operational from July 3.Dr Asim Hussain said the provincial government is responsible for taking action against those who created the shortage while it was the responsibility of Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority to ensure that oil marketing companies having the necessary oil reserves.
