Pak-Afghan task force to monitor militants on border

Interior Minister Rehman Malik has said that Pakistan and Afghanistan will form a joint task force to monitor the activities of militants on the common border.He said that an army operation was not a solution to any problem and the process of reconciliation should have to be continued.Addressing a press conference along with his Afghan counterpart, he said that biometric system would go into operation in three weeks. He termed Pak-Afghan Commission’s talks with Taliban as a good omen.On the occasion, Afghan Interior Minister Bismillah Muhammadi said that the two governments agreed to give their diplomats visa exemptions.He said all the agreements, including on border affairs, would be given a final shape.
