Summary Many areas of Karachi are without electricity for the last many days.
The electricity shortfall has reached 3,600 megawatt, increasing the load shedding in urban areas to four hours and rural areas up to 10 hours in the country.According to PEPCO authorities, total demand of electricity in the country is 17,360 megawatt while only 13,750 megawatt is being generated.On the other hand, the KESC has started up to eight hour undeclared load shedding in Karachi while many areas of the city are without electricity for the last many days due to faults.
