Summary The International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression is being observed today.
Appalled by the great number of innocent Palestinian and Lebanese children victims of Israel’s acts of aggression, the UN General Assembly decided to commemorate June 4 as the International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression in a plenary meeting on 19 August 1982.According to the UN resolution, the objectives of observing the day are to understand the physical, psychological and emotional suffering of the children and to make efforts for their rehabilitation.The day is observed every year to revive the UNs commitment to defend childrens rights.
