Contempt of court notices have been issued to the four government lawyers and attorney general because they didn’t assist the court in president’s dual offices case. The petition filed in the Lahore High Court by Barrister Javed Iqbal maintained that attorney general Maulvi Anwarul Haq, lawyers Talib Rizvi, Abid Saqi, S. M. Masood and Saiful Malook didn’t assist the court in the dual offices case that comes under contempt of the court. The petitioner maintained that it is necessary for government lawyers to assist the court in the constitutional cases. Attorney general and four lawyers violated the constitution, the plea added. The petitioner accused that the lawyers boycotted the courts on behalf of the president and the prime minister.
