Summary Agriculture Department and police have launched an operation in Multan to evict tenants.
Severe resistance was offered when operation was launched at Shujaabad Road to retrieve 169 acres of government land.The tenants lied in front of tractors. Police baton charged and injured them and also made a few arrests. According to the assistant commissioner lease of the land was over and notices had been served to vacate it. The tenants said they have not been served notices.
