FIA DG apologises to court in NICL case

Summary FIA DG Malik Iqbal has sought unconditional apology from the Supreme Court on Monday.

A two-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry resumed the hearing of the National Insurance Corporation (NICL) corruption case on Monday.During the hearing, Iqbal presented a written apology in the court, saying he offers himself at the mercy of the court. A contempt of court notice was issued to Iqbal for taking back the investigations of the NICL case from Additional FIA DG Zafar Qureshi.The court adjourned the hearing until Wednesday.
