According to sources, Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain’s assurances of removing his reservations, Ameer Muqam refused to take back his resignation. Shujaat offered Muqam his desired, Water and Power Ministry, but he rejected the offer, saying that the party’s provincial general council asked him to resign and he resigned after seven days’ wait.Earlier, Amir Muqam had resigned as the federal production minister following a rift with the party leadership. Muqam had some grievance against the party leadership for not being given the desired, Water and Power Ministry. He also demanded to publicise the power sharing deal of the PML-Q and Pakistan People’s Party and gave a seven-day deadline to the party leadership to make the deal public.
