Summary Senator John Kerry is visiting Pakistan with carrot and stick approach for the country.
A US paper claimed that the touring senator is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani and President Asif Ali Zardari today.Before leaving for Pakistan, Kerry had a meeting with US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and the politicians fall in harmony to adopt a stiff tone against Pakistan. Kerry is expected to threaten Pakistan with ceasing the $3 billion US aid. The paper also claimed that Pakistan would also be offered some special privileges, including a key role in the Afghan government’s deal withTaliban to pacify Pakistan’s concern that India should not occupy Afghanistan after the US withdrawal.
