Indian MP fails to arrange funds for Pak hostages: Burney

Summary Burney says he is facing problems in arranging the money to pay the ransom to Somali pirates.

Ansar Burney said that due to the miss commitment of Indian parliamentarian KB Singh, who had pledged to pay $0.5 million for the release of abducted Pakistanis, he had to face problems to arrange the ransom money. He said that he and Sindh Governor Ishratul Ibad had contacted well off people to arrange the ransom for the release of Pakistani hostages.Talking to Dunya News from Dubai, Burney said that the deal for the release of four Pakistani hostages had been finalised.He said that the owner of the held ship had given $1 million while the Pakistani community had collected $0.6 million and the amount would be delivered to the Somali pirates by tomorrow.
