Summary This is not the first late night meeting held between Shahbaz Sharif and the Army chief.
The Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani met with the Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif late night on Sunday. The officials and military sources did not deny the meeting.According to sources, Shahbaz Sharif travelled to Rawalpindi on a private jet to meet with General Kayani at the same time when the meeting between the Pakistan People’s Party and Pakistan Muslim League Quaid was being held. This is not the first time when Shahbaz Sharif has held late night meetings with the Army chief along with opposition leader Nisar Ali Khan. Nawaz Shairf expressed his displeasure on the secret meetings of Shahbaz Sharif and opposition leader Nisar Ali Khan.
