Summary Miscreants opened fire at a police check post killing 4and injuring 5 policemen.
According to the police, at least four policemen including a sub-inspector were killed when armed miscreants on a pickup truck opened fire on a stationary police van at the Dhalian police check post. Seven people including five policemen were also injured in the attack. The miscreants also opened fire on NATO oil tankers and as a result 11 tankers were engulfed in flames. They stayed on site and opened fire on anyone who approached the area. Later the miscreants threw pamphlets which had threats on them and fled. The injured were shifted to the Rawalpindi Hospital. The District Police Officer said that so far they had no whereabouts of the miscreants.
