Summary India has offered to export electricity to Pakistan to help tackle energy crisis.
In the meeting of a special committee of the Public Accounts Committee, Commerce Secretary Zafar Mehmood while briefing the participants, said that all the issues related to energy sector including non-tariff trade hurdles would come under discussion in the trade secretaries meeting. He said that wheat could be exported without compromising our food security. Special committee’s chairman Riaz Pirzada said that farmers would face problems if wheat was not purchased on time.
