Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani has said that the release of US gunman Raymond Davis could be challenged in the superior courts. He said that drone attacks were started during the previous government, but his government opposed them.Speaking in the National Assembly, the prime minister said that there was a consensus of opinion in the political leadership that Davis issue should be decided by the court. Now it is over, but why the court decision is being criticised, he said, adding that the agencies should not be dragged in this issue.The prime minister said that the drone attacks were not in the interest of both Pakistan and Afghanistan.He said that he was agreed with Chaudhry Nisar’s statement that parliament should not be made a rubber stamp. He said that parliament had become a sovereign body and was stronger than before.The prime minister congratulated the House as the Bhutto case had been fixed for hearing, adding that correction of a historical mistake would be a great success of this House.
