Summary Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani said that the government was fully alive to defence needs.
In a meeting with Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Rao Qamar Suleman, the prime minister said that the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) was fully capable to protect the country’s air frontiers. He said that the government was committed to modernise the defence equipment for impregnable security. The Prime Minister also appreciated the accomplishment of programmes undertaken by the PAF in flood-hit regions. The Chief of the Air Staff apprised the prime minister of renovations and upgradation of various PAF squadrons.
