Summary All flour mills of Karachi will be closed after 48 hours if ban not lifted.

Flour Mills Association has demanded the government to immediately end ban over wheat import to Karachi. The association warned that the restriction over wheat import would create shortage of the commodity in the city because mills had only one-day stock. According to All Pakistan Flour Mills Association Sindh Circle chairman Mehmood Hassan, ban on wheat import to Karachi was not lifted even after assurance of Provincial Food Department. Mehmood Hassan said that all flour mills of the city would be closed after 48 hours, creating wheat scarcity in Karachi.
