PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Plans to expand the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cabinet are on the cards regardless of raising the slogan of austerity.

Preparations are underway to induct two ministers among 15 special assistants and parliamentary secretaries in the cabinet.

On the other hand, federal ministers of KP are making efforts to include their relatives while the female MPs are also anxious to be inducted into the cabinet.

Sources say that those inducted will also be provided salaries and privileges.

KP Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has also hinted at the expansion which will likely further burden up the already empty national exchequer.

Sources informed that the names of the ministers will finalized during Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Peshawar visit in the ongoing week.

The provincial cabinet currently comprises of 13 ministers including the Chief Minister.
