The Punjab government have made tight security arrangements for the Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) public meeting in Lahore on Sunday.The Punjab Police will deploy 1,000 policemen, including four deputy superintendents and Inspectors, around Alhamra Cultural Complex, the venue for the meeting, to watch the security situation.The city administration has asked the shop owners of the market beneath the Gaddafi Stadium to close their shops for two days. The traders staged a protest against the orders and blocked Ferozepur Road for some time.
