(WebDesk) - The segregated offshoots or the ginger groups of the major political parties play quite an interesting role amid the intrigue, liaison and contrivance ahead of elections. Since 1988, the efficacious manoeuvring of the elections through these deceptively unsubstantial political parties or the dissented derivative parties of the main political parties is allegedly continued.

The rumours of these ginger groups to get united with other political parties usually start escalating long before the end of the government to counter certain party. The blare echoes more as near as the election draws.

Often these parties losing their identities, merge into other parties. The political party, Pakistan Tahafuz Party, formed by Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan is such an example of the fateful parties which disappeared as quickly as it emerged.

These rebellious segregated parties are often being blamed for being used as an arm to target political party.

Ahead of elections 2018, few political parties surface which are being seen as a gimmick to dismantle the vote bank of an already established political party. These newly fangled political parties include the controversial names like Tehreek-e-Labaik Pakistan, Allah-o-Akbar Tehreek, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (Nazaryati) and Pakistan tehreek-e-Insaf (Gulalai), Balochistan Awami Party and former Chief Justice of Pakistan, Muhammad Iftikhar Chaudhary’s Pakistan Justice and Democratic Party.

It is considered that these parties after looming threat to a specific political party usually plummet into any major political party after or during elections.

National People’s party of Ghulam Mustafa Jatoi which was a part of National Alliance, right after the general elections 2013 fused in PMLN.
Liaquat Jatoi’s party after damaging Pakistan People’s Party vote bank in elections 2013, merged with PMLN.

Similarly, National Alliance which was an amalgam of almost all the political parties except PMLN and PPP, got merged with PMLQ. After a while, PIR Pagara of PML functional group segregated his faction from PMLQ. All of the parties included in National Alliance badly impaired the PMLN and PPP vote bank.

Much before the elections 2018, many of the small parties such as Sindh National Front, Swabi Khyber PakhtunKha, Awami jamhori Ittehad and Pakistan Democratic Party, have shaken hands with other major parties.
