ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Friday decided to bar caretaker ministers from work who failed to submit their asset details.
The notification issued by the ECP stated that why not the interim ministers, who failed to submit their asset details, be stopped from work.
The Commission stated that Caretaker Prime Minister Justice (r) Nasirul Mulk, interim CM’s of all four provinces and six ministers have submitted their asset details.
Two ministers from Punjab and one from Sindh have submitted their assets details.
The ministers were bound to submit their assets details within three days after taking office.
Earlier, the ECP had extended the polling hours for General Elections 2018 by one hour. The time for polling will now be from 8am to 6pm.
In a letter written to the ECP by the PTI spokesman Fawad Chaudhry, the party had demanded extension of polling hours in the upcoming elections.
The letter stated that the intensity of heatwave has increased and the extension in polling hours would facilitate the general public especially the elders and patients.
