Summary The chief justice says court being forced to give its verdict in contract employees' case.

He said that if a judicial order was passed, the officers would have to return all their perks and privileges. The government should review the re-employment case of FIA director general (DG) and avoid pushing the court to the wall, the chief justice said during the hearing of the contract employees’ case.The government lawyer, Abdul Hafeez Pirzada, said that the government didn’t want to remove FIA DG Waseem Ahmed, and that the government would defend the case in the court.The CJP remarked that the government should not push the court to the wall. If the Sindh IG can be removed, then there should not be any hurdle in removing FIA DG, he said. The CJP said that the government was giving an impression that it was not interested in implementing the court orders. Pirzada said that this case would affect the bureaucracy across the country. The CJP replied that this case would not affect the bureaucracy; instead it would be beneficial for it. Now the court will announce its decision in the case after completion of arguments, the CJP concluded. The case has been adjourned till April 8.
