Summary Representative of PPP Khalid Ghhurki passed away today after long ailment.
Representative of PPP and husband of Federal Minister Samina Ghurki, Khalid Ghurki passed away today after long ailment. President Asif Ali Zardari postponed the meeting of Parliamentary Committee of PPP Punjab. Khalid Ghurki was being treated in hospital since a long period of time for kidney problem. The late Khalid Ghurki had been appointed as Federal Minister, member National Assembly and Town Nazim during various periods of time. He was also the President of PPP Lahore. He had always remained very close to Benazir Bhutto and President Asif Ali Zardari. President Asif Ali Zardari expressed grief over his death and postponed the meeting of PPP Punjab’ Parliamentary Committee. President has also asked all members of assembly of party members and PPP representatives to attend his funeral. Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, Ministers and party members also expressed grief upon Khalid Ghurki’s death.
