Summary After successful dialogs with government team, Punjab Young Doctors Association has announced to end protest from roads and to sit in hospitals across the province.
Punjab doctors’ were protesting from last six days, demanding increase in their salaries. The protest was started on Tuesday and doctors stopped attending indoor and outdoor units at the government hospitals, besides staging demonstrations. However, patients are being treated in indoor units now.The government has constituted a committee to resolve the issue. On Sunday, the committee held a meeting with doctors’ representatives. After the meeting, doctors announced to end the protest from roads but they refused to attend outdoor patients.
