ABBOTTABAD (Dunya News) – At least one forest official was killed and three other were injured as fire erupted in forest in Bashkoli village near Abbottabad on Friday.
Forest official Abbsi died and Saddam, Habib and Shan sustained severe burn injuries while fighting to blaze as fire brigade could not reach the area.
The blaze, which is still raging, destroyed thousands of trees in the forest. The fire also destroyed trees planted during Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s government ‘Billion Tree Programme’.
The injured forest department officials were shifted to Holy Family Hospital, Rawalpindi.
