Summary Due to the unannounced load shedding in Multan and southern Punjab, people face trouble in their daily chores. The other problem they face is not being able to watch the world cup matches.
The unannounced load shedding continues in Multan, Khanewal, Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan and Muzaffargarh. There is a shortfall of 575 megawatt and as a result, the urban areas have up to seven hours of load shedding and the rural areas face up to 8 hours of unannounced load shedding.The load shedding is hindering people in their daily chores, business and it is also affecting the studies of children in school and colleges. Not only that, people now have complains about not being able to watch the World Cup matches. Mepco officials say that they the region needs a total of 2100 megawatts but due to the shortfall the load shedding is going to continue.
