Superintendent, deputy get interim bail in missing prisoners case

Summary The Supreme Court has granted interim bail to the superintendent and deputy superintendent of Central Jail Rawalpindi (Adiala Jail) in the case of missing prisoners.

Central Jail Rawalpindi Superintendent Saeedullah Gondal and Deputy Superintendent Khalid Bashir were accused of handing over 11 prisoners, who were about to be released, to the intelligence agencies. Accepting their interim bail, the court said that the plaintiffs could file an appeal against the cancellation of bail in the lower court. The accused had already facing a trial for the same case in the lower court.
