Summary Traders staged a very unique protest against WAPDA in Layyah. WAPDA officials who keep delaying in changing the transformers and ask for bribe, trader staged a protest against them in which they offered a emblematic funeral against them.
On Chobarah Road, Layyah, the traders staged a protest against WAPDA for long-hours of electricity shutdown and not installing the transformers. They staged protest for almost five hours and had burnt tires on Chobarah Road which remained blocked for traffic. The violent protestors also took out an emblematic funeral of WAPDA. Former Secretary General of Traders Association Wahid Buksh also offered emblematic funeral prayers. The protestors dispersed when WAPDA officials confirmed that transformers will be installed.
