Summary Sadiqabad police got trapped by dacoits while conducting an operation in Rajanpur's Kacha area.
RAJANPUR (Dunya News) – Sadiqabad police, which got trapped in dacoits’ area, were allowed to go after a local counselor involved into the matter.
According to details, Sadiqabad police were handed over the control of Rajanpur’s Bangla Acha police station last month to ensure peace in Kacha area.
Sadiqabad police decided to conduct an operation against the dacoits after continuous increase in crimes, and sieged their area with a heavy contingent.
The action dramatically reversed as the police got into the trap of dacoits in miles stretched fields of sugarcane. The dacoits opened fire on the force which injured an officer.
The robbers also shot the police informer when he was going to give them food. The police then involved a local counselor into the matter to save their lives and abandoned the operation after getting a safe passage.
The armored vehicles were then shifted to Sadiqabad’s Bhong police station. A police mobile was also damaged by the firing of the dacoits.
It has been learnt that there was a danger of casualties due to sugarcane fields, and the operation will now be conducted in February against the dacoits.
